Some widget are blurry or too small

The smaller widgets are displayed as images and CalenGoo can display everything in the way it wants it to be displayed. This is useful e.g. for the day widget to display a graphical representation of the day. However the larger widgets cannot be displayed as images because the Android system doesn't allow such large images for widgets. So larger widgets have to be displayed as a lot of text fields and layout objects. However this also adds many restrictions to how the widget can be displayed. E.g. then CalenGoo cannot display a graphical overview of the day and thus the day widget is limited to a maximum size of 4x3.

The smaller widgets do not fill their space

The smaller widgets (smaller than 4x4) are displayed as images as explained above. This gives CalenGoo full control over what it can display but unfortunately it has to guess the size of the widget. Under certain conditions this can cause the widget to be too small. In the screen on the right you can see a 2x2 agenda widget.

A solution (but only for the agenda widget) is to use CalenGoo's scrollable widgets, they can automatically fill their whole space (you can see it in the second screenshot on the right side, it is still a 2x2 agenda widget). Under Android 2.x you just have to install and use e.g. "GO Launcher EX" as your home screen manager and turn "Settings", "Widgets", "Agenda Widgets", "Scrollable when using certain home screen managers" on. Under Android 3.x and later you only have to turn "Settings", "Widgets", "Agenda Widgets", "Scrollable widget" on, you do not need to install a different home screen manager.

If the widgets are not available

If the widgets are not listed in your home screen manager's list, this can usually have two reasons:
  1. If you installed CalenGoo to your SD card, the widgets cannot be found. Please start the "Settings" app, tap "Apps", "CalenGoo" and ensure that "USB storage app" is "0.00B" and that there is no button to move CalenGoo to the internal memory of your phone.
  2. Or you have turned all widgets off in CalenGoo under "Settings", "Widgets", "Available widgets". After turning them on again, you have to reboot your phone: Turn it totally off (not just the screen), then turn it on again, enter your PIN and wait for it to connect to the network. Afterward check if you can find the widgets in your home screen manager's list.

If the widget is not updated or the prev/next buttons do not work

The week and month 4x4 widgets can have a header with buttons to switch to the next and previous week/month. If that doesn't work, i.e. if the widget does not show the correct month after a few seconds or if any of the widgets are not updated and showing the correct events after leaving CalenGoo using the back button of your device, then there might be something wrong with your Android system and you should reboot your device. Just try to use another widget, e.g. the widget that allows to turn Wi-Fi on and off and check if it also isn't refreshed. There seems to be a situation where Android (tested with Android 4.1.1) seems to ignore all widget updates. A reboot seems to fix the problem:

To reboot your Android device, hold the power button until a window appears and tap "Power off". Then turn it on again, enter your PIN and wait for it to connect to the network. Afterward check if the widgets work correctly again.
